Westchester Track Coach (Part Time)
Fast Feet’s training team is seeking supportive, experienced leaders to coach our Westchester Running Club. Practices are held weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm in Central Westchester for an eight-week season (Mid- September - Mid-November). Candidates will partner with the lead coach to execute pre-planned training sessions in a group setting of neurodiverse youth runners of varied abilities, facilitating an adaptive and inclusive environment.
Job Requirements
Experience
Prior experience in special education, occupational therapy, running and/or athletics strongly preferred
Experience coaching and working with youth athletes of varied abilities
Preferred: Experience in positive community building and engaging youth runners
Skills and Attributes
Flexibility in adapting workouts as needed to meet the needs of participants
Ability to provide deliver clear explanations, demonstrations, and instructions about workout and drills
Punctual, positive and dependable
Ability to adapt to feedback based on lead coach and family feedback
Compensation:
$75 per practice session

Bronx Track Coach (Part Time)

Candidates will partner with the lead coach to execute pre-planned training sessions in a group setting of neurodiverse youth runners of varied abilities, facilitating an adaptive and inclusive environment.

Experience

Lead Teacher: In-School Training Programs
Fast Feet seeks a supportive, experienced teacher to lead instruction for our in-school training programs. Lessons range from 30-60 minutes and are held weekly throughout the school day at various sites throughout the city during our 8-10 week Fall season commencing October 2021. Candidates must maintain positive relationships with school partners and must share an enthusiasm for working within a school community and facilitating adaptive, inclusive learning environments.
Job Requirements
Experience
Prior experience in special education, occupational therapy, running and/or athletics strongly preferred
Experience working with children of diverse cognitive and physical abilities is strongly preferred
Experience with the planning and execution of sequential lessons and units is preferred
Skills and Attributes
Flexibility in adapting workouts as needed to meet the needs of participants
Ability to deliver clear explanations, demonstrations, and instructions
Punctual, positive and dependable
Ability to adapt to feedback based on lead coach and family feedback
Willingness to travel around New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn)
